I can put in a hard drive with an operating system installed OpenBSD and it boots and runs. I put a gparted iso onto a spare SD card, put it in a reader and got that to boot so I ran it and created a Gb ntfs partition on a blank hard drive. I did reboot after the Microsoft fixit.
